Lumentra Inc., a cleantech company that develops material-based technologies for the LED lighting industry and provides accredited test and measurement services for lighting companies has partnered with LabTest Certification Inc. to expand the services available to their customers. Based out of Richmond, B.C., LabTest offers premium certification services and acts as a Certification Body for a number of programs that are important to Lumentra’s customers.

“The LabTest partnership provides a perfect complement in services, allowing us to better serve the certification needs of our customers, providing them with easier access to programs like Energy Star,” says Dr. Venkat Venkataramanan, Lumentra’s president and founder. “Both Lumentra and LabTest are committed to providing the highest level of service to our customers, providing a simple, one-stop shop for testing and certification needs.”

The partnership will allow LabTest to provide additional safety certification services to Lumentra’s existing customer base and will allow Lumentra to provide photometric testing necessary for energy efficiency programs like Energy Star to LabTest’s customers. This partnership will provide lighting customers of both companies the opportunity to certify their product lines for safety while simultaneously qualifying their product lines for energy efficiency programs, reducing overall time to market and increasing their competitive edge.

“We are committed to providing the highest quality of service to our customers while giving them a service experience that removes the pain of certifications and qualifications,” says Nathan Dyck, in charge of engineering at Lumentra. “This partnership opens up opportunities for our customers that we believe will have a significant impact on bringing their innovative, energy-efficient lighting products to market sooner.”

“With the growing product regulatory requirements, manufacturers are now mandated to comply with the Energy Efficiency and Product Certification standards. With our new partnership and mutual outlook towards clients, Lumentra and LabTest are focused on customer service and their need for on-time market delivery,” says Kavinder Dhillon, President and CEO of LabTest Certification Inc.
