Job Opening: Senior Engineer

Lumentra has an immediate opening for a full-time Senior Engineer. The candidate is expected to have a doctorate or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Materials Engineering or related field. Exceptional candidates with high standing bachelor degree will be considered for reduced responsibility. Knowledge of photonics, optical detection, photometry or optical engineering would be advantageous.   The primary responsibility will be to provide standards-based test and measurement for LED lighting industry clients as well as to maintain and improve our technical quality systems. In addition, the candidate is also expected to participate in Lumentra’s research and product development programs, working closely with our academic partners.

Job Location 

Lumentra operates at two locations. The Research and Administrative Departments are located at downtown Toronto and the Photometric Testing Facility is located at Waterloo.   The candidate is expected to be working from Toronto, but strongly interacting with Waterloo team on a daily basis. Occasional travels to Waterloo Facility or partner companies may be involved.
