Dr. Venkat Venkataramanan has been elected as the President of the Canadian National Committee of the Commission Internationale de l’Éclairage(CNC/CIE). He will serve a four year term of Jan 2012-Dec 2015. CNC/CIE’s principal activities include collecting and reconciling the many views of the Canadian lighting community on relevant issues and identifying, representing and promoting the capabilities and distinctive competence of its Canadian lighting community internationally. Venkataramanan is also the Canadian representative of the CIE technical committee on High Brightness Light Emitting Diodes.
